Westfjords (featuring Abigail Breslin)

Perez Hilton called the track "Westfjords" from Stargroves' self-titled debut album "catchy" and "impressive," and now you can hear it for yourself. Nominated for an Oscar for her role in Little Miss Sunshine, screen actress Abigail Breslin harmonizes beautifully with Stargroves singer Teddy Watson on the single, which describes an Icelandic legend about trolls and elves living in the highlands.

They sing, "You don't look back again / Cause the road is dark and / This place is happening / The paint is bright enough to fade it all away." As the song reaches its climax, they chant over lively instrumentation, "Hags are burning up inside / Serves you right, serves you right / Elves are hiding underground / Weirds me out, weirds me out."

"Westfjords" is a track that keeps on giving, revealing more layers with each verse. Before the song ends, a false ending leads into a few more bars of cooing as the music fades out, ensuring that the stirring melody remains stuck in listeners' heads.

"Westfjords" captures visions of the mountains, grassy hillsides, lakes and clouds that cover the Icelandic countryside. Check out the infectious track now.

The road to success is especially tough for indie bands.
Stargroves, a New York City-based indie-pop band has defied those odds.
The group originated with lifelong musician and New York University Computer Science student Teddy Watson.
As founder and lead singer, Teddy recruited the current band members, bringing their eclectic mix of talents
together to create the band's unique sound. Teddy writes the band's songs, drawing inspiration from musicians
like Sigur Rós and Stars and has been favorable reviewed by Perez Hilton, MTV Buzzworthy
as well as received awards from festivals and The Young Turks.

Lyrics

All the trolls in the highlands wake up singing out of time
Putting on their costume makeup in the pale moonlight
And your painted grimaces all look so heavenly tonight
It just seems obvious
The carnival is calling us away
But you don't know what the people say
Is it me or doesn't it all sound the same?
You don't look back again
Cause the road is dark and this place is happening
The paint is bright enough to fade it all away
The townsfolk fall for us
They take us in and we rob them every day
We hide away all the coins we save
And pretty soon we'll all go far far away
You don't look back again
Cause the road is dark and this place is happening
The paint is bright enough to fade it all away
All our sons are well and able
Dreaming on their bedtime fables
Lilac in your jacket pockets chase us off like bottle rockets
I can hear the storm
What's a little rain to someone born on the boundary lines?
I want to know what you're gonna say when the morning fades
Your hysterics away
All the trolls in the highlands wake up singing out of time
Putting on their costume makeup in the pale moonlight
All the Westfjord paupers say don't ever make a sound
Picking up their horns as they go, no you can't push me around
Banks are calling us away
I can't stay, I can't stay
Sons are waving out to sea
Tears on me, tears on me
Hags are burning up inside
Serves you right, serves you right
Elves are hiding underground
Weirds me out, weirds me out
